Our love for Paleontology and the natural world inspired the formation of For Fossils Sake, where some of New Zealand's finest fossils are collected and meticulously prepared.

​New Zealand boasts a rich and unique fossil history, with its diverse landscapes revealing remnants from the age of dinosaurs to ancient marine life. From the papa cliffs of Taranaki to the riverbeds of Otago, our expeditions span the country, uncovering the secrets that lie beneath.

 

Every fossil we find adds to our understanding of the Earth's history and the ancient tales of each fossil location, fuelling our passion for Paleontology.

 

For Fossils Sake is a small family business, led by avid, self-taught Paleontologist, fossil collector and preparer, Karl Raubenheimer. With two daughters in tow, we travel the country, seeing stunning landscapes, unearthing ancient creatures and sharing their stories.​

 

We uphold sustainable and ethical practices, respecting every site we visit. We believe that preserving these natural treasures is crucial for future generations to learn from and enjoy.
